You can even do a mix variety of each. Or dye the melted chocolate using food colouring like we have, to create contrasting colours. If you like you can even use any of our 100% Australian Fruit Powders, including orange, lemon or lime. For a zesty combination of citrus flavour with smooth chocolate. Hand making these treats with your sweethearts favourite dried fruit and chocolate, it’s the sweetest way to show someone how much they mean to you!
Gin Gin & Dry Heartfelt Chocolates
Ingredients
- 1/4 of 100% Australian Dried Shredded Fruit
- 290g of chocolate melts (either white, milk or dark)
- Heart shaped silicon mould
Method
1. In a microwaveable bowl melt add in all the chocolate melts. Microwave on high for 20-30 seconds then stir the chocolate.
2. Repeat for 3 to 4 times until the chocolate has melted, but be careful not to overheat it.
3. Sprinkle the 100% Australian Dried Shredded Fruit into the mould to make a layer in the bottom of the mould.
4. Spoon in the melted chocolate over the top of the dried fruit and wipe the chocolate level with a pallet knife. It helps to then gently lift and tap the mould down to help the chocolate to settle into the mould.
5. Refrigerate for 2 hours or overnight to set before turning out the chocolates.
6. Carefully turn out the chocolates and chip away any loose edges. Box in a container or serve on a platter to gift to your loved one.
