How we keep our products natural
This is no secret, it is just that our process is ridiculously simple. Besides making sure that we have 100% Australian fruit – that farmers are doing an amazing job for us in growing great fruit – we then just cut the fruit, place it on drying racks and then wait for it to dry.
Nothing extra is added to our products and nothing special is done. We make sure that our products taste amazing and that they are also 100% hygienic and food safe.
Why our products are a great snacking alternative
- It is so easy to eat fruit this way. You do not have to cut up a whole pineapple and make a mess to have a snack – we have already done that for you.
- It tastes so much better! The condensed fruit, when we have taken out the water, makes the fruit taste so much more alive.
- We always make sure the fruit tastes great. It is annoying to cut up a mango and realise it was not ready and have to throw it away. We have perfect ripening methods to ensure our fruit is always ready for you to enjoy!
Working with local farmers
The Bundaberg region is known as one of the largest horticultural food bowls of Australia, providing a diverse range of premium fresh fruits, vegetables, nuts and herbs to the world.
While there is always an ample supply of fruit for us to use in the manufacture of our products, we are keen to use fruit that might otherwise be dumped because it does not suit the supermarket sizes or have a “perfect” look. Our local farmers are only too happy to work with us to have the fruit that they have grown used to make snack sensations instead of being dumped as landfill.
Also, it is great to visit these farms as it has always been Cameron and Muppi’s (the faces behind Gin Gin & Dry) passion to be part of Australian agriculture. We are both farming kids and know what it is like to work and live on the land.
