Spring Fling – Gin Gin & Dry Cocktail
As the afternoons start to warm up it’s a great time of the year to treat yourself to a zesty ‘Dry Gin’ cocktail with this Spring Fling, featuring our dried lime. But what is meant by ‘Dry Gin’ ?
Gin over recent years has become a more popular beverage choice. The mass of varieties on your local bottle-o shelf seem to be forever increasing. A ‘Dry Gin‘, also known as ‘London Dry Gin‘, is classified by its manufacturing process. In which there is no added artificial flavouring or sweeteners. Just like our Gin Gin & Dry natural dried fruit products. Nothing artificial is added! And no added sugar! Each of the botanical flavours in Dry Gin including juniper, come from natural sources. (Did you know juniper in French is genièvre, this was shortened by the English to Gin.) Now we hope you’ve worked up a thirst and are ready to try our Spring Fling Gin Gin & Dry cocktail featuring our 100% Australian Dried Lime beverage topper.
Ingredients
- 30ml of Dry Gin of your choice
- 15ml lime juice
- 5 fresh mint leaves
- 6-8 slices of seedless cucumber (reserve some ribbons to garnish)
- 1 Tbsp of brown sugar
- 4 slices of Gin Gin & Dry 100% Australian Dried Lime and more for garnishing!
- Soda Water
Method
1. Add cucumber slices, sugar, mint and lime juice into a cocktail shaker or bar glass.
2. Crush the 4 slices of Gin Gin & Dry 100% Dried Australian Lime and crush with a muddler or wooden spoon.
3. Add the Dry Gin and half fill with ice, shake well and pour through strainer into a tall glass of ice and cucumber ribbons.
4. Top with soda water and garnish with a slice of Gin Gin & Dry 100% Dried Australian Lime Enjoy!
